Kite Flying

Yesterday I went to the beach with Natalie, mom, and James and Kasy (who were in town for Easter). We went to fly Natalie's homemade kite! It was SOOO windy and once the kite was up in the air we just held it there and it stayed for like 20 min! We stood at the edge of the Gulf and let the waves hit our feet, the water is still WAY too cold to swim in. We were not going to swim anyway because the water was closed due to the strong undertow. However the tourists don't seem to understand that double red flags means the water is closed. At least twice a week our local newspaper has a story about someone drowning in the gulf!

Anyway we had a great time. The weather was perfect!!! Look how high Natalie's kite is :o) She made the kite all by herself.
