Forgiveness

I am working on (and through) forgiveness right now and am stuck because how do you forgive people who are not sorry for the things they have done. I know it is not healthy (or biblical) to carry around anger in your heart. I also know that we love because Christ first loved us. And that God has forgiven us for all of our sins and even sent his Son to die for us but I am not God, my brain is small and this is hard for me.
