Recipe #2

It is week two of working on increasing my cooking skills and today I made Taco Soup-

This recipe came from my friend Marvel who is such a good cook!

Here are the ingredients and instructions:

1 can of light red kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can of dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 can of pinto beans, drained and rinsed

1 can of petite diced tomatoes, drained

1 can of sweet corn

1 can of Rotel

1 packet of taco seasoning

1 packet of ranch powder

1 pound of ground chicken (or beef) browned separately

1 small onion chopped and sautéed

season with cumin, chili powder, sea salt, oregano and black pepper

once you have everything in the pot add enough water to cover the beans

Cook on top of stove -on low- for 3-4 hours.

Once cooked and ready to eat, you can add sour cream, cheese, or some Fritos to your bowl of soup. The soup also freezes well so you can save it.

My soup turned out well and tasted so good!!!!!!
