My six year old niece Natalie was over at my house a couple of weeks ago and I have document our conversation. We were watching a DVD in my room. When I turned it off the dvd, the television was on the Disney Channel and Stuart Little was on. It was at the end when Stuart is saying goodbye to a bird friend. Natalie asked me why the bird was leaving. I said that when it get colds out birds like to fly to south where it is warmer for the winter. She stops me and says, "aunt dabney, you mean migration, don't you?" I was really impressed with how smart she is! It made me laugh too. I guess I don't need to give a kid answer to her questions when she is WAY smarter than that.

I love that story!
Natalie was probably thinking "Poor Aunt Dabney, she doesn't know the right word for migration!" That is so cute! You're a good aunt!
Out of the mouth of babes!! I found your blog this morning and will definitely be back!
